We are a proud fire department with over 115 years of history serving our communities. It is our mission to minimize the loss of life and property for our fire service recipients in the cities of Long Lake, Orono, Minnetonka Beach, and Medina from fires, natural disasters, life threatening situations including medical emergencies and to assist other emergency agencies. It is our goal to perform these services in a professional and efficient manner by maintaining effective training, fire prevention, fire suppression and emergency response.
The Long Lake Fire Department consists of 2 Fire Stations (#1 and #2) and has a membership of approximately 50 firefighters. Every Monday night (excluding national holidays), LLFD holds “drill”, where they practice and perfect their skills and strategies so they can stay sharp and prepared to respond to all kinds of emergencies.
